About Magento 2 and Paazl
This article provides a brief overview of how Magento 2 works together with Paazl. Refer to About Paazl for an overview of Paazl itself and how it interacts with webshops, warehouses, carriers and customers.
Note: To use our Magento 2 extension, you must have a recent Paazl Business License. If you would like to check this, please contact support@paazl.com.
Paazl Checkout widget
The Paazl checkout widget is ideal for webshops that want a quick and easy way of presenting their customers with greater delivery choice to help increase conversion. All you have to do is add a few lines of code to your checkout page and you're up and running. The widget is also a great solution for webshops (and departments in larger companies) that don't have the resources for large-scale integrations.
The widget provides you with a stylish way of offering your customers more delivery choice (same day, nominated day, delivery time ranges), real-time delivery estimates, and order growth through the use of free-shipping thresholds. You can also customize it to suit your webshop's branding.
Using the Paazl Magento 2 extension, you can "plug 'n play" the Checkout widget into your Magento 2 webshop.
Two installation methods
You can use the Paazl Checkout Widget extension with Magento versions 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3. There are two ways of installing the Paazl checkout widget in Magento 2:
- Installing via the command line: for techies; this is by far the quickest method
- Installing via Magento Marketplace: for non-techies. The Paazl extension is called "Paazl Checkout Widget"
When you install Paazl's Magento 2 extension, functionality will be added to Magento Admin that allows you to configure Paazl's settings in the following menu:
.Note
Paazl only supports the most recent version of its extension for Magento 2. This is because customer requests regarding functionality and bug fixes related to former versions are usually solved in later versions. The current version of the extension is 1.1.2.
Configuring and styling
You can configure how Paazl behaves in Magento 2 including its styling. Configuring Paazl in Magento 2 explains how to configure and style the extension and Styling the Paazl checkout widget provides visual examples of what each style parameter does.
Specifying shipping options
You have to configure Paazl to send the right shipping options to Magento 2. For this purpose, Paazl offers you a powerful tool called the "Delivery Matrix". Delivery matrices enable you to specify the shipping options and shipping rates that apply to particular product categories based on product characteristics such as size, weight and value.
Whenever Paal receives a request for shipping options for Magento 2, Paazl will go through the various columns of the delivery matrix concerned until it reaches the first one that exactly matches the product in your customer's shopping basket. It then looks for the shipping option(s) and rate(s) that you have specified for that product column, and sends them back to Magento 2 for display.
See About delivery matrices for more information on how delivery matrices work.
Other Paazl functionality
In addition to the Delivery Matrix, Paazl also enables you to configure various settings in your webshop account that allow you to control how Paazl calculates the delivery date of a shipment, the track & trace notifications it sends, and the shipping options that you may want to display at various times of day.
You can also manage your orders in Paazl, which shows their real-time status and which allows you to print an order's shipping labels.
Refer to the following articles in Paazl's online help to learn what Paazl can do for you.

.Most of the settings speak for themselves, but those which require a bit more work or background are explained below.
Note
Next to some options, you will see a check box enabling you to "Use system value". The value that will be used is the one that you have configured in Magento 2 Admin as displayed under "Store View".
Note
For both the "Country of Manufacture" and "HS-code" settings, you can either select the values defined in a particular product definition, or you can type in your own value. To type in your own value, select "Use static value" from the drop-down menu. A new field will appear in which you can specify the value you want.
Note
"Default method title" and "Default method name" are displayed by Magento 2 in various parts of the application. The name is specific than the title. In some places, Magento 2 only displays the title; in some places it displays both.
Authentication & authorization
Paazl maximizes the security of your webshop's order process by using three-legged OAuth 2.0 authentication in which the "API Secret" (private key) is only known to your webshop. Your customers can only access the "API Key" (public key).
See Authentication & Authorization for an explanation of how Paazl's three-legged OAuth 2.0 authentication works and how to generate API keys.

Paazl has a number of predefined widget styles that you can use to match your webshop branding. The following values are available:
- "DEFAULT"
